Lashings Art Hotel is seeking Jamaican businesses and young entrepreneurs to join its new community hub in Treasure Beach. The centre will host ventures which complement hospitality, wellness, creativity and destination living. They will be based in Sandy Bank, in a variety of different sized purpose built spaces.

Owner David Folb said: “Lashings Community Hub is offering to help independent businesses by giving them the opportunity to operate within our resort. We’re big supporters of local arts and promoting craftsfolk, so this is perfect for creatives and those seeking to tap into the tourist market.

“If you are starting a company or looking for a new location for an existing one, we can offer more than just an office. Our community hub is where wellness, creativity and commerce will live side by side.

Lashings is an independently owned and community based resort, on the undeveloped south coast of Jamaica. It has a variety of boutique rooms, villas and suites; with a beach club, cafe, restaurant and gym. It operates from two locations which form a busy, popular destination for local and international visitors.

Since starting this new venture in April, Mr Folb has already allocated retail units to a hairdresser, a photographer, a jeweller, a solar panel sales team, a shipping company and a business consultant.
